# Eddycoin – public node / mining API and connecting your own node ## Network addresses - Main server (HTTPS): https://129-159-188-73.sslip.io - Same node, direct: http://129.159.188.73:8770 - Fallback: https://eddycoin-demo.pages.dev - Official pool: https://pool.129-159-188-73.sslip.io (stats: /pool) - Explorer API (read-only): https://explorer.129-159-188-73.sslip.io/explorer/api/ ## Run your own node python3 eddycoin_node.py # window (if Tkinter is available) on http://127.0.0.1:8770 python3 eddycoin_node.py --headless --seed https://129-159-188-73.sslip.io # let others connect (open TCP 8770 or use a reverse proxy): python3 eddycoin_node.py --headless --listen 0.0.0.0 --port 8770 --public-url https://your.host.example Options: --seed URL (repeatable), --peer URL (repeatable), --data DIR, --behind-proxy, --follow-only (only follow the seed). Point a miner or wallet at your node: http://127.0.0.1:8770 ## Node HTTP API (GET is read-only) | Method | Path | | |---|---|---| | GET | /api/state[?addr=] | chain summary, tips, difficulty, recent blocks | | GET | /api/wallet?addr=eddy1… | balance and history of one address | | GET | /api/block/E\|D\|Y/ | one block / checkpoint | | GET | /api/work?chain=E\|D | mining work (header template, bits) | | POST | /api/submit/e, /api/submit/d | submit a solved block | | POST | /api/tx | submit a signed transaction | | GET | /api/verify | full chain verification result | | GET | /api/export | full chain export (JSON) | | GET | /api/peers, /api/node/info | node info, public peers | | GET | /api/node/checkpoints?from=&to= | checkpoint ids (node cross-check) | | GET | /api/node/segment?from= | chain segment for syncing | | POST | /api/node/push, /api/node/hello, /api/node/report | node-to-node sync | Rate limits apply per IP (e.g. 240 GET /api/state per minute, 60 submits per minute). ## Consensus parameters (summary) - Two proof-of-work lanes, both sha256d: E-Chain (CPU) and D-Chain (GPU). A block is valid if its hash has at least `bits` leading zero bits (≈ 2^bits hashes per block). - Y-Chain checkpoints: each checkpoint needs one E block and one D block for the same Y candidate; it carries the transactions and the reward. - Target block time 30 s; retarget every 10 blocks per lane from arrival times (max step 2 bits); bits clamp E 18–34, D 20–40; genesis bits E 28 / D 33. - Reward per checkpoint 149.85005307 EDDY, split 50 % E finder / 50 % D finder (+ fees); reduced by factor 0.998335 every 10,000 checkpoints. - Max supply 900,000,000 EDDY, 8 decimals. No premine, no faucet. - Transactions: UTXO, ECDSA P-256 signatures, minimum fee 0.01 EDDY, max 40 txs per checkpoint. Address = "eddy1" + 40 hex (from the public key). - Timestamp rules from checkpoint 300: block time within ±30 s of arrival and after the median of the last 11 blocks.
